Chef Kazuhiro Hamamoto received formal education in Kyoto’s culinary arts college where he discovered his talents in Kyoto traditional cooking and later developed his own unique style of approach. His Kaiseki and Sushi skills were honed in several high-end establishments in Kyoto such as Ryotei Kichisen, Ryotei Furukawa for a couple of years before he decided to venturing out of Japan to explore the international culinary scene. Chef Hamamoto was formerly the chef-in-charge at Waku-Ghin, one of the famous celebrity restaurants at Marina Bay Sands. He now displays his unique interpretation of Japanese Omakase as Chef de Cuisine at Ki-sho, creating dishes that display a strong reflection of his personality, yet staying true to the essence of Kyoto cuisine.
